Today I slept in until quite late which was really nice for a change! We then had breakfast and walked down to the beach which was absolutely beautiful (see piccies). The water was really blue but really cold! I stood too close to the water and got a right shock when it washed over my feet! The sand was clean and soft. We played a game on the beach where you each had to draw something beginning with 'a' and then the others had to guess what it was and then we went on and drew something beginning with 'b', etc. It was really fun and mine and Dad's drawings were significantly worse than Mum's!!!! For 'f' I drew Sheffield United -v- Brentford which was 'fixture', Mum drew a church, a coffin and some mourners which was 'funeral' and Dad drew a 'flag'!!! After that we drove to Pambula Beach where we saw loads (about 50) kangaroos. They were a bit disappointing because they were like a big rodent and they looked dirty. It was still amazing though to see them just roaming round.
After seeing the kangaroos we went into Merimbula and bought a picnic from Poppy's Kitchen. We ate that on the clifftop overlooking the beach where we were staying. It was a beautiful view. We then went and played tennis as the sun was setting. It waas a good court in a great location - on the clifftop with views of the beach and sea. I won 5 out of 6 games so mum gave me $20 to spend in the arcade. I almost won an iPhone!
In the evening we went to a Mexican to eat which was really nice. Generally a brill day with a beautiful setting.
We're off on our travels again tomorrow.
